Estherwood Alderwoman, Cop Groomed and Sexually Abused Teen, Lawsuit Claims

An Acadia Parish family has filed a lawsuit in district court accusing an Estherwood alderwoman and her husband of grooming and sexually abusing their minor daughter.

The lawsuit, filed in the 15th Judicial District Court in Acadia Parish on Thursday, alleges that Estherwood Alderwoman Emily Mire and her husband, Greg, both officers with the Estherwood Police Department at the time, groomed and sexually abused a local girl.

New Orleans attorney Salvador Bivalacqua is representing the family.
